holy moly! ok, my 4 month hiatus is officially over. there’s no reason i haven’t been posting. i just haven’t. i’ve made a stipulation with myself, if i don’t post at least once a week i’m going to suspend the site. i don’t want to but, what the heck is my problem? ok, enough about me! let’s talk about the kiddies ‘n at.
so, what’s my little sarey been into? welp, as probably most of yinz have figured out the girlies are both back in school. somehow or another she is in first grade! wha, wha, what!? i’m pretty sure she has only one of her friends from kindergarten, but it’s one of her close friends (how close can she be though? they are 6 for cryin’ out loud). she doesn’t mind though, she likes to make new friends and she’s definitely the social butterfly. she begins her next round of acting/dance classes. she’ll be downtown for a few hours every saturday, and she’s going to love it. i think she has acting, tap dance and ballet this year. i don’t know, just as long as it keeps her off the streets.
hannah is all over the board this year. we’re not doing soccer this fall, she seems like she wants to try other sports. she has really excelled at it but to be honest she’s really excelled at any sport or anything she’s ever set her mind to. she got a bug up her butt that she wanted to play tennis, so we went out and bought her (and i) a couple inexpensive tennis racquets and went out tonight. seems like she’s wanting to try a bunch of different sports before settling in, which i totally agree with. i didn’t settle in on any one sport until, um, i guess never. there’s too much to choose from and i love them all. a couple of months ago i experienced one of the biggest moments i’ve been looking forward to - playing a round of golf with my kid. hannah and i went out and played 9 holes at a real golf course. well, we did skip 2 holes but you get the picture. she did awesome! she’s definitely a natural. i swear she a handful of shots 100 yards and straight as an arrow. so, instead of focusing on one sport we’re going to freelance. one week we’ll go golfing, another week we’ll play tennis, another week we’ll play basketball. you get the picture. she’s also starting band this year. she’ll be playing flute, just like her dear old mom did. actually she’ll be playing the flute holly used to play too. the flute has been passed around a bit between holly and her cousin, but it’s found it’s way back home.
whew! i’m exhausted! :) hopefully i’ll find it in me to post this weekend too. until then…
